Chris Kauffeld joined Keogh Cox in 2024 after working at the firm as a law clerk while in Law School. Chris graduated Cum Laude and received his Juris Doctor and Degree in Comparative Law from Louisiana State University Paul M Hebert Law Center.
Chris is also a Major in the United States Army. Prior to law school, Chris served as an active-duty Field Artillery Officer for eight years. He deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Resolute Support in 2015 and served as the Battery Commander for “Bull” Battery, 1-7 Field Artillery Battalion, of the First Infantry Division from 2019 to 2020. In 2021 Chris transitioned to the Army Reserve and currently serves in the 377 Theater Sustainment Command. He has been awarded numerous military awards and honors to include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, and multiple overseas service ribbons.
